Stony Creek is approximately 90 minutes from the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, on the South Gippsland Highway beyond Leongatha and at the gateway to Wilsons Promontory - picture book country at its best!

Stony Creek Racing Club holds a number of race days throughout the year including:

- Betfair Stony Creek Cup: 11 March 2012
- Easter Carnival: 8 April 2012
