This caravan was launched at the Adelaide Caravan and Camping Show in 2011, and is a beautiful piece of work. The layout is really fairly standard for a large van, door at the rear between the bathroom and kitchen with the bedroom at the front of the van. But it is some of those little extras in this van that impressed me.
The bathroom is huge, but a top loader washing machine always adds size to a bathroom. I did think that the side edges of the cover for the top loader could have been finished a little better, but that is not a huge problem.
When you come in through the door, there are four cupboards right there on the wall. I love ‘junk cupboards’ by the door, all my things go straight in there, out of the way. When you are in a van, no matter how many cupboards or shelves you have, these junk cupboards are essential to keep it tidy.
The café seating is my favourite layout, and the fold back table gives so much more room. I was not all that taken with the particular material in the one I saw, but as there is always a choice of colours and patterns when you are getting your van, this is not a problem.
I did like the kitchen layout, lovely big fridge with a separate freezer, stove, separate griller and four hot plates (three gas and one electric). Now there is one more little added extra here and that is a spice rack over the cook top. When you put the lid up to cook, this is covered to stop spatters, but just there when you need it. I did like that. There is good sized kitchen sink with a single drainer.
I counted five double power points in the van when I looked, which was good. You can never have enough of them. The TV was a swivel one to cover the bedroom and the seats, which makes all the bench space in the kitchen usable for the kitchen.
The queen bed looked very inviting, and is really easy to get too, no maneuvering around obstacles to get to bed here. It is a full one too, without an extension. The windows have venetian blinds which looked very smart, but I would have preferred to see sliding windows rather than wind outs.
I was very impressed with the overall finish to this caravan, it had such a lovely feel to it that I can understand why the people from Concept are so proud of this latest addition to their models.
