Overlooking the most spectacular coastline lie Kiama Harbour Cabins, an award-winning holiday park located on Blowhole Point Kiama.
When we arrived, we dumped the fishing rods and kids’ scooters on the veranda and were blown away by our cabin. This holiday park has no tent or caravan sites, only luxurious 4 star cabins. We stayed in a fabulous 3-bedroom cabin with sweeping views of the Pacific ocean and gorgeous Kiama Harbour, huge master bedroom with ensuite (double size shower, electric blankets on bed (so appreciated on those cold October nights) and TV, second bedroom with bunk beds, another bedroom with a queen bed and bunk overhead, generous sized open-plan kitchen with more appliances than you’d expect from a holiday park (sandwich maker, electric frypan...) oven, stove, laundry, wall-mounted ironing board, radio intercom in every room..... the list goes on. Gorgeously appointed, with Austar TV & DVD in lounge, 2x3 seater suede couches, ceiling fans in all rooms and reverse-cycle aircon topping off the list. Oh, I nearly forgot the massive tiled outdoor veranda with built in electric BBQ and sink!
Now this park is perhaps not your first choice if you have kids in tow as there’s not your usual jumping pillow, playground, pool, games room etc, but instead you have 4 star luxury, the best views and just over the road the rock pools to bathe in, where our kids spent time frolicking and dipping their toes in despite the water being just a little too cold. Not bad at all.
With just a few minutes’ walk to the famous Kiama Blowhole, historic Lighthouse and the thriving Kiama CBD and a short drive to Jamberoo Action Park and Minnamurra Rainforest, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
