The Central Coast New South Wales is a beautiful area, great beaches, plenty of sunshine and four wonderful Central Coast Tourist Parks that work together to give you a fabulous choice of places to stay, and all within about an hours drive of Sydney.
As you would expect from a park which includes the word Beach, Canton Beach Tourist Park is right on the water, in this case the foreshore of the Tuggerah Lakes, which are part of the 80km stretch of lakes with only one outlet to the sea. The park has 6 styles of on-site accommodation, with a couple of virtual tours on the website to help you see the high standard of the cabins. There are also powered and unpowered sites on the park. The park is broken up into two main areas, so there are five amenities blocks!
If you need to stay connected while you are away, have a look at the park map and you will see the cabins and sites that are covered by the wireless internet – what a great idea to give this information. The newsletter on the “Things to do” page of the website has heaps of information on things to do and places to go. The small township of Toukley, which is within walking distance of the park, features from time to time, with places to eat and things to see.
While you are enjoying relaxing, you might like to spend some time on the water, so why not have a look at the Ocean Planet Kayaking Tours, who have tours in various places in NSW including the waterways on the Central Coast. The experienced guides can tailor a tour to suit your needs and your fitness levels. You can indulge in what is called a ‘paddle and saddle’ tour by combining your kayaking with a visit to a huge outdoor adventure and horse riding centre which is run by their sister company Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures.
This adventure park has so much to do that you will need to book extra time at Canton Beach! You can ride horse and quad bikes, abseil and fish in the middle of the most glorious countryside. Being able to escape into 3000 acres of natural bushland and spend the day ‘playing’ in nature is such a change from the everyday of towns.
If all you want to do is have a quiet stroll through the bush, then you do not have to go far to enjoy that.
This is a special area, and Canton Beach Tourist Park has just what you need to let you enjoy it all at your leisure.
