Do your children love to sing, dance and act? Have they seen the Glee! Club on TV? Well, this January BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday has engaged West Grove Co Productions from Melbourne to hold a week of Glee! Club Workshops at the resort. This is a fantastic opportunity for your kids to develop their creative skills, see if they like performance art and have a great time with new friends.
Beginning Monday 9 January, there will be morning and afternoon sessions for kids aged four to 12 years. Special morning drama classes for the four to six year olds include song, dance and fun drama games while Glee! Club workshops are suitable for seven to 12 year olds and will have both morning and afternoon sessions covering a variety of performance and singing focussing on theatre games, scene work, singing and dancing. “Dramacraze” will be available every afternoon for seven to 10 year olds and these workshops include theatre games, creating characters and working on scenes with different workshops each day including comedy, improvisation and creating a mini play. The best news of all is that the workshops will be free of charge, but numbers are limited so bookings are essential to avoid celebrity-sized tantrums!
Bri King and Jacinta Marasco are the Creative Directors of West Grove Co Productions and they bring years of acting, dancing and a passion for performance art to the classes. Bri says “from our experience the classes assist children’s self-esteem and confidence building through dance, drama, musical theatre and singing. It is a lot of fun and a perfect holiday activity.”

We know the Glee! Club TV show is incredibly popular and so many kids are into singing and dancing after watching shows like Australian Idol and Australia’s Got Talent. We think these workshops are going to become annual favourites on our Activities Calendar and we are very excited to have two such talented teachers here for the week.”
