Alex Beach Cabins and Tourist Park,
When you are looking for your next beach holiday, but do not want to be right on the beach then Alex Beach Cabins and Tourist Park is the spot. Set about 200m from the beach, this great park is in one of Australia’s premier tourist destinations – Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Alex Beach Cabins and Tourist Park is designed for someone who just wants to pack their bags and go, their range of cabins and holiday homes is fantastic. The cabins have that beachy feel with the bright colour scheme and furniture, and all you need to do is choose the one that suits your family and the amount of time you are staying. I always find that the longer I stay the more space I need, but that might have something to do with the excellent shopping close by in Mooloolaba or the Sunshine Plaza.
If you bring your own caravan then you need to choose either an en-suite site or not. As each site has a slab they are not suitable for tents. There is a great communal BBQ area here, which gives you the chance to meet new people while you enjoy your meal. There is also a lovely swimming pool for the days when the beach does not beckon with a kids playground close by.
Just occasionally the weather may not be to your liking, so the kids can spend time in the well equipped recreation room, and for those who must stay in touch with their friends, the internet kiosk is there too.
Just around the corner, on your way to the beach you will find some great places to eat with take aways or sit down and relax styles. There is also an excellent little supermarket with a tempting deli section. I have always managed to find something different and appealing there. The bakery is my downfall, as they so often are!
The Sunshine Coast is a place to relax, and enjoy quality time as a family or with friends. But if you do decided that you want to branch out a little then there are some wonderful things to do. You can head to the hills and spend time up in the Blackall Range with its wonderful villages of Maleny, Montville and Mapleton. For the more energetic amongst you there are some excellent bush walks up there, or you can just enjoy a coffee with some of the best coastal views in the country.
If you want some fun and rides then Aussie World is not too far away, and you can enjoy some time in that famous Australian Pub, The Ettamogah Pub. Underwater World is close by where you can get up close and personal with seal. If you think sharks are cute (and Underwater World do) then maybe a little swim with the sharks would suit you. The Otter Encounter is a rare opportunity to actually come face to face with one of these non stop intelligent animals. Check out their website at www.underwaterworld.com.au
Whatever you decide to do, Alex Beach Cabins and Tourist Park is a fabulous place to call home for a while.
