A friend of mine and good WUD fan tells me he had the best birthday ever recently when he went fishing at sunrise on Port Phillip Bay. Paul O'Brien says apart from a great relaxing birthday early in the morning the gradual sunrise was spectacular, and something every traveller should try and experience. While he had a good catch of fish the magnificence of the sunrise and the sea was something else.
Port Phillip Bay is a great place, not only in the morning but also in the evening with equally great sunsets and still good fishing. There are many beaches where you can simply beach the boat and have a swim, take in a meal or go for a walk.
If you are looking at a great place to stay and to take your boat with you, BIG4 Kangerong Holiday Park at Dromana is worthy of consideration. The park has a good range of powered and non powered sites, camping spots and cabins with excellent amenities, BBQ and kid’s areas, as well as a good amenities block and laundry. BIG4 Kangerong Holiday Park is only minutes from the beach and boat launching areas.
It's not too long to Easter holidays and if you want a spot, now is the time to check with BIG4 Kangerong Holiday Park as David tells me they only have 3 cabins and a couple of powered sites available.
